Reached My Goal
This is a re-post from June 28, 2016 THANK YOU TO ALL THE FACEBOOK GROUPS!!! I am so happy to have finally stuck with this challenge and reached my goal! Grey or Gray hair! UGH! Not as bad as I thought it would be! I actually kinda LOVE it now! I started finding grey or silver sparkles in my hair at a very young age. I am not sure how old I was when I started to dye my hair, but it has been over 30 years for sure! What a pain in the butt it had gotten to be! My hair has always grown super fast & eventually my…

Happiness
One day you will realize that happiness is not what your house looks like, but how you love the people within its walls. Happiness is not finding success by a certain time, but finding something you love so much, time itself seems to disappear. Happiness is not thinking you have earned the world’s approval, but waking up each day and feeling so at peace within your own skin, quietly anticipating the day ahead, unconcerned with how you are perceived. Happiness is not having the best of everything, but the ability to make the best of anything. Happiness is knowing you did what you could with what you were given. Happiness…

When Life Breaks You
“When life breaks you, it is because you are ready to be put back together differently. Every piece of you that feels shattered is a piece that will find a new place, a new purpose, a new meaning. Trust that the cracks are where the light gets in. And sometimes, in our brokenness, we find our greatest wholeness. We find the courage to rebuild, to reimagine, to redefine what it means to be strong. You are not broken; you are breaking through.” — Unknown

Loving Someone
The purpose of loving someone is not to be loved in return, as love is something abundant that stems from inside of you, which you are gifting to another person. Your self-love is a well within you incapable of being emptied, and love is a never-ending flame, incapable of being put out. It is not something that you get or earn, it is not something that you must search for in the hope of one day finding, and it is not something that you lack and must extract from another person, but something you may share and radiate as you are love. Sometimes We Love
Sometimes we love And our hearts are broken We dream And our hopes are shattered We wish And our desires are unfulfilled We give freely And are left empty-handed And we care for others And aren’t loved in return And those who we once most admired and valued Do not reciprocate our affection. Sometimes we undergo a process of loss and heartbreak And are left feeling broken And lacking hope As we fail to realise That we are not destined to remain stuck in this cycle indefinitely And that in life Whoever lets go of us Leads us home Whoever rejects us Empowers us to embrace ourselves fully And someone’s…

Are you truly lazy
Are you truly lazy Or are you simply in the process of resting and recovering from all that you have been through? Are you truly procrastinating Or are you simply prioritising what your soul finds more valuable, enriching and uplifting? Are you truly sad Or are you simply purging and releasing your emotions? Are you truly broken Or are you simply in the process of healing from past experiences and rebuilding your life? Are you truly antisocial Or are you simply undergoing a period of self-discovery and learning to fully embrace and enjoy your own company? Are you truly naive Or do you simply have an open heart and look…

The truth is that people believe they know you
The truth is that people believe they know you, that you’re okay or that you’re in a position where you’re proud of yourself and optimistic about how things are going for you. They believe you’re fine because they interpret things based on their perception and connect certain facts they believe they are comfortable with to paint a picture of you based on their vision, unaware that this is all an illusion. Because you are aware of how exhausted you are from having so many thoughts racing through your head, you are weary of showing empathy, you are tired of being the one who understands, and you are tired of the…

It took me a long time to realize
My mom had a lot of problems. She did not sleep and she felt exhausted. She was irritable, grumpy, and bitter. She was always sick, until one day, suddenly, she changed. The situation was the same, but she was different. One day my dad said to her: – I’ve been looking for a job for three months and I haven’t found anything, I’m going to have a few beers with friends. My mom replied: – It’s okay. My brother said to her: – Mom, I’m doing poorly in all subjects at the University … My mom replied: – Okay, you will recover, and if you don’t, well, you repeat the…

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough, and we’ll be more content when they are. After that, we’re frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our partner gets his or her act together when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice holiday, when we retire. The truth is, there’s no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your…
